Food & Plant based entrepreneurs who add value to our veggies & herbs

A Vibrant Local Marketplace

Farms like Ironwood need connection to other businesses and entrepreneurs to create, sustain and grow local markets. These folks work tirelessly to create economically viable markets for many of the farms in the Hudson Valley, to send our food to a wider audience, and to craft something beautiful and special from a raw product. We are proud to partner with these businesses and appreciate greatly what they do. We recommend you check them out!

Jodie and Guillermo

Beths Farm Kitchen

Stuyvesant, NY  |  Jodie and Guillermo moved to the Hudson Valley in 2016 with dreams of finding their farm-stead home. They set up shop in North Chatham, where they are starting a sheep based dairy, and they purchased Beth's Farm Kitchen. BFK works with local producers to turn seasonably available produce into delectible value added products like jams and sauces. We love slathering their Apricot Jam on freshly toasted & buttered Sparrowbush Farm bread!

Patricia

Farms 2 Tables

Rhinebeck, NY  |  Patricia Wind created a vibrant food connection powerhouse. Farms2Tables helps Upstate NY grown and made goods find their way to restaurants and shops all over NY. We LOVE that F2T picks up orders from our very own cooler, introducing us to new customers and helping reduce emissions by streamlining distribution in such a complex food network! Patricia is an owner and operator who, no matter how big F2T's efforts grow, is always involved on each level and willing to help and make it all work.

Donna

Field Goods

Athens, NY | Donna has visited Ironwood Farm to bring her crew out to play in the dirt and pick tomatoes from the vine. She understands that Upstate NY farmers create valuable products which can be put together to feed New York customers. We make exciting growing plans with Field Goods which include a great price for the farmer and high volumes of vegetables when they are most readily availably locally. This kind of regional attention is a big and rare deal, and we applaud Donna for it!

Lauren Giambrone

Good Fight Herb Co.

Hudson, NY |  Lauren runs a sweet, potent and powerful herb shop in Hudson NY, where she sells her creations along with the products of other herbalists and producers she cares about. Walking into her store is total magic - please visit! We go there for a tincture shot, a candle for a friend and a warm chat with Lauren that lights up anyone's week. Her potions ease our frayed nerves when the season gets intense and support our healing all year long.

Henry

Good Food Farmers Network

North Chatham, NY | Henry is running one of our favorite local businesses: a food box delivery system which collects top quality items from local farms and delivers to a network of subscribers. He kindly takes on feedback and works towards her business meeting the needs of farmers, which makes us want to work hard to make sure she succeeds! Henry lives at Dog Wood Farm with his partner Sara, where they also raise turkeys, eggs & mushrooms.

The Fermentation Team

Farm Ferments

Hudson, NY |  We look forward to the huge harvests of bulk bins brimming with chinese cabbage that we send over to the Kraut team at Farm Ferments. While we aren't making value added products ourselves, we feel all arm and fuzzy thinking about folks from Hud Valley to NYC enjoying a probiotic version of our cabbage all year long.

The Hudson Standard Crew

Marianne, Emily, Marcel and Lily

The Hudson Standard

Hudson, NY |  Marianne is crafting beautiful Shrubs and Bitters from ingredients she finds grown in our local area. The combinations are fresh, suprising, and a pleasing grounding in the local farm and forest landscape. Find her products at Hudson Wine Merchants and lots of other spots around town!

Mimi and Richard

Made In Ghent

Ghent, NY | Mimi and Richard have created a little slice of heaven in Ghent. Weekend mornings we wake up and drive to Made in Ghent in search of gorgeous bread, donuts, and other treats from their table and freezers. These 2 believe heartfully in the local community they are a part of, and we love having them as customers, friends and neighbors.
Philmont Coop

Elizabeth

Philmont Coop

Philmont, NY |  Elizabeth and her team have brought to life the long awaited vision of the Philmont Co-op. Shelves are stocked with delicious local goods and vegetables, as well as a market during the summer and full café menu all year long. The Philmont Co-Op has a special place in our hearts since it is in the farm's home village. We hope one day to use their fabulous certified community kitchen to prepare some frozen goods for winter customers!

Ruby and Sather

Raven and Boar

New Lebanon, NY |  Ruby and Sather are two wildly creative individuals raising beautiful kids and delicious pork at their home in New Lebanon. Ruby is a source of strength for us in modeling what a caring and powerful woman-run business looks like. You can find her products at the Rhinebeck Farmer's Market and at Gramercy Tavern in NYC, to name a few.
The Random Harvest Team

The Owner-Worker Team

Random Harvest

Craryville, NY |  A group of tenacious women has re-vamped the well known Random Harvest Market - a cafe, community space and store a stone's throw from Taconic Hills School. These people are so warm and kind when we bring our products in to stock their shelves, and they gasp in delight while unpacking the vibrant greens. Their coffee and food is delicious and they carry lots of other local products we love like Good Fight Herb Co. potions & Dog Wood Farm Eggs!

Chef Malcolm Sanz

Omega Institute

Rhinebeck, NY |   Omega Institute is an educational and retreat center which houses workshops all season long. April - October Chef Malcolm features local produce to feed hungry workshop learners and yogis. We can rely on him to buy bushels of pea and radish shoots from Ironwood Farm all summer long!
Omega Institute

Chef Nicole

Hawthorne Valley School Lunch Program

Harlemville, NY |  Renowned local chef Nicole LaBue has found a home for her talents in the form of feeding local kids from local farms. Students at Hawthorne Valley receive meals with ingredients grown right here in the Hudson Valley.

Audrey, Selha, Michelle and Christian

Rolling Grocer 19

Hudson, NY |  The team at Rolling Grocer 19 are doing something unique in Columbia County. They are providing local and high-quality produce and select groceries using a fair-pricing system - people pay according to their economic ability. The first incarnation of this service was via a mobile trailer, but are soon moving into a brick and mortar store. What is so inspiring about the project is that they are helping to ensure equal access to good quality food to all those in Columbia County. We are great admirers of their mission and look forward to working more with them in the coming year.

The Member-Owners

Honest Weight Food Coop

Albany, NY |  We LOVE to shop at Honest Weight (if we lived closer we would be members! Sigh...). The bulk section is drool-worthy and the fresh produce section is always rocking great quality and selection from across the country but particularly our local counties. Our peashoots find their way to Albany customers through Honest Weights participation in Farms2Tables!
